As life long residents of New York City, we were amazed to discover that there are twenty one bridges that connect the island of Manhattan to other boroughs and one that connects to New Jersey. This site will be a photo essay of sorts, where we will photograph and provide some background and history for each of the 21 bridges. This will be an ongoing project, starting with opportunistic photographs (taken when we can) with specific trips to photograph some of the more obscure bridges. We hope you enjoy the site, and some of the beauty we try to capture in each photograph. As we complete the project, the links below will eventually take you to a page about that bridge. - 145th Street Bridge
- Alexander Hamilton Bridge
